Raid 2 Movie Review: ‘Raid 2’ explains the meaning of ‘Kosh Moolo Danda’, Ajay Devgan gave the franchise top marks

The budget for Raid 2 (2025) is reported to be around ₹60 crores. The film has been released today, May 1, and is expected to perform well at the box office due to its high anticipation and strategic holiday release.

Raid 2 Movie Review: May 1 is Labor Day, it is a holiday in some states of the country.

The film Raid 2 has been released on this day. The sequel of Raid which came in 2018. There was a press show but I could not go. So, performing my duty, I rushed to the cinema early in the morning to watch the film. Usually, whenever you go to watch a film in the morning, there is a shadow of sleep on your face. As a result, you yawn. Today was also the same. But the yawn disappeared today. The reason was Ajay Devgan’s film Raid 2. After Covid, yawning or using mobile while watching a film has become a measure of the goodness or badness of the film. The first success of Raid 2 is that you do not yawn while watching it.

The story opens in Rajasthan in 1989.  Where a colorful party is going on. In which there is alcohol and women too. Meanwhile, a convoy of government ambassador cars and gypsies is seen. A man runs away in panic and tells that a raid is about to happen. The honest officer Amay Patnaik leads them. Here the raid happens and then Amay is transferred. But this time there is a catch. Amay is transferred not because of the raid, but because of demanding bribe. The honest officer who did 74 raids asks for bribe. It is natural to be shocked. From here begins the Mahabharata of the film Raid. Which is so funny that you will feel a sense of joy after watching it.

Ajay Devgan has played a typical government officer. This time he has shined more than the last film. His performance is also quite good. Ajay Devgan is very fit and fine as a government officer and one who has an image of being honest. After about half a dozen flop films, Ajay has again taken a new path. Here he is seen passing with top marks. Vaani Kapoor has played the role of the wife.  In which she looks average. Though she has tried her best, but it could not happen. The villain of the film is Ritesh Deshmukh. He seems to be developing the path of today’s new type of villains. His work takes the film at a great pace. Supriya Pathak, who plays his mother, has brought life to the climax. The film also stars Brijendra Kala, Yashpal Sharma, Rajat Kapoor and Amit Sial. Amit has shown his style of changing colours and the tone of Uttar Pradesh in such detail that you laugh at many places. The rest of the actors have added to the beauty of the film with their part.

The film has been written by Ritesh Shah. Who has got the support of director Raj Kumar Gupta, Jaideep Yadav and Karan Vyas. So many people have given birth to a great and tight story. You get a different pleasure watching it. The dialogues of the film are also very witty. Which go in sync with the story. Raj Kumar Gupta has once again done the job of sending the ball across the boundary. He has worked deeply in every department of the film.  Talking about the characters, looking at Amay Patnaik’s Rajasthani look, one can understand where they are and in what situation they are living. Raj Kumar Gupta also gets full marks in direction. Sudhir Chaudhary’s cinematography is also good. But Sandeep Francis’s tight editing has done wonders. Although the songs of the film are average, even if they were not there, there would have been no sorrow.

I have already told you about the film that it is yawn free. If you spend money to watch it, you will not be sad. This is the real victory of the film Raid 2.
