Fans were eagerly waiting for the release of Ayan Mukerji directed film War 2. After Fighter, people were eager to see Hrithik Roshan on screen again, especially his action sequence with Jr NTR.
This was Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut and his fans were so excited to see this film that on the first day, the film did a business of more than 20 crores in the Telugu version alone.
War 2, released in theaters on August 14, is an action thriller film which clashed with superstar Rajinikanth’s film Coolie. However, even the clash could not put War 2 behind. The business of the movie was so tremendous that it became the biggest Bollywood opener movie of this year. New mom Kiara Advani was also overwhelmed with the success of War 2.

Kiara Advani played the role of Kavya Luthra in War 2. For the first time, the action sequence of the actress was also seen. People are praising her acting. On August 16, Kiara gave her reaction on the success of War 2 through a post on social media. She wrote in the caption, “Your love speaks louder than anyone else. Your smile, your celebration, your excitement has filled our hearts with joy. War 2 is in theaters.”
Box office collection of War 2
War 2 has become the biggest opener of the year after Coolie. According to Sacnilk, the Hrithik Roshan starrer action thriller movie did a business of Rs 52 crore at the domestic box office on the first day, while on August 15 i.e. Independence Day, the film earned Rs 57.35 crore.

War 2 hit or flop?
It has been 2 days since War 2 was released and the film has crossed the 100 crore mark. It has even crossed the 150 crore mark worldwide. It is expected that the film can earn well on Saturday and Sunday as well. But it would be a bit early to call War 2 a success. The film has reportedly been made on a budget of 350 to 400 crores. The film may take three-four more days to earn this many crores.
