TATA IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 runs in a thrilling match played in Guwahati on Sunday. With this, he registered his first win in IPL 2025.

After the match ended, an emotional moment was seen between Rajasthan coach Rahul Dravid and former India captain MS Dhoni. Dravid, who is using a wheelchair due to a recent leg injury, came on the field for the traditional handshake, seeing which the sight touched the hearts of cricket lovers.

Despite the defeat, CSK veteran MS Dhoni reached out to meet Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid. Dravid came on the field despite walking with the help of crutches due to a leg injury. Rahul Dravid was injured during a local match in Bengaluru before IPL 2025, due to which he was also on a wheelchair for some time. In this match, he was playing with his son. When Dhoni met him, he warmly inquired about his well-being and both the cricket legends shared a memorable moment on the field. This meeting of these two stars, who played together for India for a long time, was special for cricket lovers. During this, many players of Chennai Super Kings also followed Dhoni, some shook hands with Dravid and some hugged him to express their respect.

Rahul Dravid reacted to his injury before the match and said, ‘I am recovering. I got great support. Unfortunately, playing cricket at my age was not a good idea, I think. But it’s okay, it happens, so it’s okay.’ Dravid was also seen inspecting the pitch before the match.

At the same time, Nitish Rana performed brilliantly for Rajasthan Royals in this match played in Barsapara.  Batting at number three, he played a stormy innings of 81 runs in 36 balls, which included 10 fours and five sixes. Thanks to his explosive batting, Rajasthan scored a respectable score of 182/9. Apart from this, Wanindu Hasaranga bowled lethally and took four wickets and played an important role in the team’s victory.

The Chennai Super Kings team, which has not successfully chased a target of more than 180 since 2019, missed once again. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant innings of 63 runs, but the team could only reach 176/6. MS Dhoni was present at the crease in the last overs, but he could not overcome the bowling of Mahesh Theekshana and Sandeep Sharma.
