PBKS vs LSG: In the 54th match of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 37 runs and reached the second position in the points table. Prabhsimran Singh played an explosive innings of 91 runs for Punjab.

In the match against Punjab Kings, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. In response, Punjab did not have a good start in batting and Priyansh Arya became the victim of Arshdeep Singh after scoring 1 on the fifth ball of the first over.

After the first wicket fell early, Prabhsimran Singh and Josh Inglis took over the innings of Punjab Kings. Together, they made an explosive partnership of 48 runs in 22 balls for the second wicket. However, after that Inglis became the second victim of Arshdeep by scoring 30 runs in 14.

After the fall of two wickets of PBKS on the score of 50 runs, captain Shreyas Iyer came to support Prabhsimran Singh.  Together, they made a good partnership of 78 runs in 47 balls and laid the foundation for a big score. However, in the meantime Shreyas was dismissed after scoring 45 runs in 25 balls.

Prabhsimran Singh played a brilliant innings against Lucknow Super Giants. He played a stormy innings of 91 runs in 48 balls, hitting 6 fours and 7 sixes. He added 34 runs with Nehal Wadhera after Iyer left. After that, he also added a quick 54 runs in 21 balls with Shashank Singh.

In the last overs, Shashank Singh took the responsibility of Punjab Kings on his shoulders and scored 33 runs with the help of 4 fours and 1 six in 15 balls. Marcus Stoinis also supported him by scoring 15 runs in 5 balls and took the team’s score to 236 runs in 20 overs.

Lucknow Super Giants, who came out to chase the huge score of 237 runs, did not have a great start. Opener Mitchell Marsh was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh without opening the account. While Aiden Markram also became the victim of Arshdeep after scoring 13 runs.

Nicholas Pooran‘s bat did not work against Punjab Kings as well. He became the third victim of Arshdeep Singh after scoring only 6 runs. After which Punjab’s top order completely collapsed while chasing the runs. At the same time, Rishabh Pant was also out after scoring 18.

Punjab Kings bowlers also completely flopped the middle order of Lucknow Super Giants. After Pant, David Miller also got out after scoring 11 runs and put his team in a difficult situation.

At one time, Lucknow Super Giants’ innings, which was rapidly moving towards all out, got an explosive partnership of 81 runs in 41 balls.  On the basis of this innings, LSG was moving ahead rapidly at one time, but then Samad was out after scoring 45 runs.

Ayush Badoni kept fighting alone for the team against Punjab Kings and played an innings of 74 runs in 40 balls. However, despite this, his team lost by 37 runs. At the same time, Arshdeep Singh took the maximum 3 wickets in bowling. Azamtullah Umarzai got 2 successes.
