MI vs DC Highlights IPL 2025 Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 59 runs. With this, Mumbai has confirmed its place in the playoffs and Delhi is out of the playoffs. In this match, MI team scored 180 runs while playing first.

MI enter in Playoffs 11 time

Mumbai had scored this huge score by adding 48 runs in the last 2 overs, in response to which Delhi could score only 121 runs. Mumbai has now become the fourth team to go to the playoffs after Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals got a target of 181 runs, in response to which its start was very bad as Delhi had lost the wickets of all three top order batsmen by the score of 27. KL Rahul scored only 11 runs while opening. At the same time, Faf du Plessis and Abhishek Porel, both scored six runs each.

The partnership between Vipraj Nigam and Sameer Rizvi had just started to flourish when Vipraj was out after scoring 20 runs. By 65 runs, half of Delhi’s team had returned to the pavilion. Finishers like Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma also proved to be failures in this match. Sameer Rizvi stood firm from one end and played an important innings of 39 runs under pressure, but could not take his team to victory.

Delhi had scored 103 runs at the loss of 5 wickets at one time, but within the next 18 runs, it lost the last 5 wickets as well. Delhi’s condition was so bad that 7 out of its 11 batsmen could not even touch the double digit mark in terms of runs.

Bumrah-Santner wreaked havoc

For Mumbai Indians, Mitchell Santner and Jasprit Bumrah wreaked havoc on Delhi batsmen. On one hand, Santner took 3 wickets for just 11 runs in 4 overs.  Bumrah took 3 wickets for just 12 runs in 3.2 overs. Apart from him, Trent Bolt, Deepak Chahar, Will Jacks and Karn Sharma also took one wicket each.

This is Mumbai’s 21st win over Delhi Capitals. This is their third biggest success against a single team. Before this, they have defeated Chennai Super Kings 21 times and Kolkata Knight Riders 24 times.
