The movie ‘Kesari Veer‘ starring Sunil Shetty, Sooraj Pancholi, Vivek Oberoi and Akanksha Sharma released yesterday, Friday, 23 May. But, the movie had a very slow start at the box office. Yesterday, on the opening day, it collected only Rs 25 lakhs. On the second day, its earnings have fallen even further.

According to the figures received till the time of writing the news, today on Saturday, on the second day, this movie has done a business of only Rs 20 lakhs. The total earnings of the movie in two days got stuck at Rs 45 lakhs.  The budget of the film is said to be around 50-60 crores. According to this, it is a very poor performance.

The story proved to be a weak link

This film, directed by Prince Dhiman, is based on the story of warriors who sacrificed their lives to protect the Somnath temple. But the audience did not like the story. ‘Kesari Veer’ has not received a good response from the critics either. The story of the film is quite weak.

Competition from ‘Bhool Chook Maaf’

Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Bhool Chook Maaf’, which was released along with it, is giving it competition.
