The total advance booking of Coolie is over $1.2 million in North America while War 2 has $230,000. It is worth noting that War 2 is a Bollywood film and it is one of the rare films to release with a premiere in North America. Most Bollywood films release without a premiere. Depending on the success of the film, War 2 might even reduce this gap.
Coolie likely to have a bigger opening than War 2
Coolie’s global opening day collection is expected to be higher than War 2. After the announcement of both films, War 2 was believed to have a bigger opening. But now due to Coolie’s marketing and positioning, it looks to be the bigger opener. Due to the long duration of Hindi films, if both films get a similar response, War 2 may perform better.
