Kesari 2 vs Jaat Box Office Collection:

Sunny Deol’s Jaat is currently leading over Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 at the box office. As of Day 15, Jaat has earned ₹80.75 crore in India and ₹107 crore worldwide. In comparison, Kesari Chapter 2 has collected ₹46.1 crore domestically by its seventh day.

Jaat had a stronger opening and maintained better consistency, while Kesari Chapter 2 saw a sharp decline after its initial weekend. However, both films are facing challenges in reaching profitability, as Jaat was made with a ₹100 crore budget and Kesari Chapter 2 with ₹150 crore

These days there is a clash between two big star films in the theatres. On one side there is Akshay Kumar‘s seven day old Kesari 2 and on the other side there is Sunny Deol starrer 15 day old Jat.

The genre of both the films is different and both have received positive response from the critics. However, let’s find out here who is dominating whom in terms of earnings.

How much did ‘Kesari 2’ earn on the 7th day of its release?

Apart from Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Pandey have played important roles in ‘Kesari Chapter 2‘ based on the legal battle after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. This patriotic film has touched the hearts of the audience.

Talking about the earnings of the film, the film earned 7.75 crores on the first day, 9.75 crores on the second day, 12 crores on the third day, 4.5 crores on the fourth day, 5 crores on the fifth day and 3.6 crores on the sixth day. According to the early trend report , ‘Kesari 2‘ earned 3.50 crores on the 7th day of its release. With this, the total earnings of ‘Kesari 2‘ in 7 days have now become Rs 46.10 crores. Let us tell you that this film has been made at a cost of 150 crores.

How much did Jat collect on the 15th day?

Sunny Deol has created a lot of buzz in the theatres by playing the role of Jaat. This action thriller has also received a lot of love from the audience. Randeep Hooda and Vineet Kumar Singh have also played important roles in the film. Talking about the earnings of Jaat, Jaat earned 61.65 crores in the first week.  After this, in the second week, the film earned 4 crores on the 9th day, 3.75 crores on the 10th day, 5 crores on the 11th day, 1.85 crores on the 12th day, 1.9 crores on the 13th day, and 1.35 crores on the 14th day. According to the early trend report, Jaat earned 1.25 crores on the 15th day i.e. the second Thursday. After this, the total collection of the film in 15 days has become 80.75 crores.

‘Kesari 2’ is overshadowing ‘Jaat’

If we compare the collection of ‘Jaat‘ and ‘Kesari 2‘, ‘Jaat’ did a business of 4 crores on the seventh day. Kesari 2’s collection on the 7th day is 3.50 crores. But if we talk about Thursday’s collection, ‘Jaat’ has been able to earn only 1.25 crores on Thursday i.e. its 15th day.  On the other hand, ‘Kesari 2’ has done a business of 3.50 crores on Thursday. In this respect, ‘Kesari 2’ is now overshadowing ‘Jaat’.

By the way, let us tell you that ‘Kesari 2’ has not been able to recover half of its cost even after 7 days of its release. On the other hand, ‘Jaat’ is also several crores away from recovering its budget even after 15 days of its release. It will be interesting to see how both the films perform on the weekend.
